With 12 pigeons in the competition Bert won 1. & 2. NPO St. Truiden against 5.212 pigeons in the Northern section of province 10 ... a new work of art from the class pigeon from Nieuw-Weerdinge ... with a line of pigeons which are taking on phenomenal forms.

The double victory from St. Truiden was achieved by two yearling cocks, the NL09-1691566 (1. prize) and the NL09-1691556 (2. prize), from the team of twelve widowers that Bert basketted for this shortened 260 km race ... 10 of the 12 Berends pigeons won prizes per four ... winner 566 is a half-brother of the phenomenon 'Anne Linde', in 2007 crowned as 1. Nat. youngsters WHZB and The Best of The Best ... both have the same father, namely 'Pieter' ... a wonder man with the 1. NPO Ablis against 10.030 pigeons, bred from a son of the '370 Branco', super breeder by Jan & Kathy Lotterman, against 'Precious Lady' from Pieter Veenstra, out his 'Terminator' x 'Diamond Lady'... Mother of the 566 is 'Naomi', bought by Kees Mooiweer, where she won the 1. NPO Chantilly against 12.742 pigeons.

As said, the second prize in the NPO goes to the 09-556, who developed into a diamond, after his 3. NPO North Sens (580 km) last week against 3.807 pigeons in North. A pigeon for the majority out the same basis; father (08-786) is a full brother of 'Anne Linde' (out 'Pieter' x 'Euro Lady', daughter 'Euro'  Heremans-Ceusters). Mother is 04-270, a full sister of several super pigeons and winners of 2. Nat. Ace pigeon middle distance The Best of The Best' ('Leontien'), 1. NPO Morlincourt and 1. NPO Niergnies ... In 2009 the 04-270 (at that moment already mother  1. NPO North Pithiviers and 5. Nat. Ace pigeon extreme middle distance The Best of The Best) was coupled with the 08-786; apparently a golden combination. A synergy that has resulted in the following direct descendants:

Bert started the 2010 season with 19 widowers which were basketted every week in traditional widowhood, without the hens ever being shown "I give them plenty to eat and nothing much is done medically; this year they haven't had a canker cure and they probably won't be given one either." The first weeks of the season they are given one training per day, then two, and never compulsory. It has done the strong colony of Bert (lines Adrie Kors, Koopman -direct and via Lotterman and Veenstra -, Leo Heremans, 'Mike Tyson' from Boesten) some good ... in 2010 Bert was 3. not nominated middle distance province 10, 1. not nominated extreme middle distance province 10 (one more race) and 1. Ace pigeon province 10 (one more race) ... reward for dedicated coaching of fantastic pigeons
